I went back to court today for the final order for TPR and the case wasn’t even on the docket. I was a little confused at first, then I talked to the caseworker who had just found out that the Judge was going to sign the order today but there would be no hearing since there was no appeal.
So that’s it. Termination is final. Now we move on to adoption placement. Please pray for the adoption placement worker who gets our file – pray that she will work very quickly!

Well, that was uneventful – but SUPER news to have it finalized. Will absolutely be praying that the adoption worker is a good one. We only have 1 adoption worker here, but we will be trying to find a good lawyer since that is our choice. Are ya’ll reimbursed for any adoption expenses? You’ll have to fill us in on the process – we feel so “out of it” at this point as to what’s going to happen next. This has happened so quickly – God has really been awesome for all of us.
Comment by Tamara October 17, 2006 @ 3:03 pmThat is awesome news. God is so good, and so faithful. Those children are so fortunate to have wonderful parents like you, and you are so fortunate to have received two such wonderful blessings from the Lord.

Comment by Judy October 17, 2006 @ 9:45 pmwow! I’m sorry you had to make a trip over there for nothing, but that is great news! it must be bittersweet that the parents are so out of it they aren’t even appealing it. When’s the last time you saw them?

Oh my gosh, I’m so excited for you! I know it’s become anticlimactic for you, but the day the state recognizes them legally yours, REJOICE!!!! Well, no reason to wait, I guess.

Hurray! Sorry they wasted your time. It seems that a simple phone call would not have put the courts out all that much! I’m glad it is good news and pray for a quick finalization of the adoption. Blessings!
