I am now praying that God allow us to keep the children because I believe with my whole heart that it is what is best for the kids. Not because we want them so much, not because we have more money and can provide for them but because their bio parents seem incapable of making good decisions. I do still pray for God's will and I also pray for the grace to accept whatever that is. I always pray first for God's will. I appreciate your perspective on things. We will do whatever we can to help facilitate a relationship with Princess and Speedy's bio grandparents. I have no idea how these things work but in my mind, the best situation would be for them to continue being grandparents. We would love to just adopt them into our family as well as the children. I know that there will be challenges in doing that but we are committed because we agree that it is something Speedy and Princess both need. We won't just "tolerate" it for them, we will fully embrace it. A link to their biological family would be a priceless gift. I want them to have that more than I could ever explain. I can't write about all of it, but we have already laid the foundations for a good relationship with the grandparents. They only want what is best for the kids and they agree, with sadness, that the kids should not ever be returned to their bio parents. Thank you for the reminder. I don't want to love them so blindly that I stop seeing what is best for them. Yes, we love them with all of our hearts and would be devastated if we lost them. I have worked with other foster parents in your situation, and I have some idea how much you love these children and how desperate you are to keep them. The children need your love, but they also need their biological family, as hard as that is for you. If you can love them and also allow them to have a relationship with their grandparents, you will have given them a great gift. If the g-parents go get an overnight stay and they violate the rules- they will lose it so hopefully they will be wise! Praying for you guys!
