Here is a copy of the email the Adoption Lady forwarded to me from “June Bug’s” case worker (see column on left side of page) :

“I read the studies for June Bug last night and have narrowed our selection down to 4 or 5 families with Goehring’s being part of that group. Now I need to get with my worker to schedule a staffing date, but I will be out of the office on Friday and she’s been out today. We will schedule the staffing when we see each other on Monday.”

WOO HOO! At least we made “the short list”….ha ha ha

Something I’ve wondered about often is how having children will change my relationship with Brien. It’s just dawned on me, however, that having children will also change my relationship with God. Do you think having children deepens your understanding of God’s Amazing Love ? I can’t wait to see how it changes my perspective.

Congratulations, Im so excited for you!! If this isnt too nosy, is there a possibility that you could picked for more than one of these options? That would be hard and cool at the same time :) God is good … all the time!

i can help you with either of those questions! i got married and then 5 months later had our first child, so it has always been me jeff and a child, and i had our first two children before i had a true relationship with God. i do think that you can see God’s love in children, and from children! they are amazing! mel-

Absolutely–having children taught me a whole new aspect of God’s love. You can blog on what it does for you in a couple months, okay???

MJ, there is a possibility that we could be selected for more than one situation – at which point we’d have to choose. We are praying that does not happen. I’m hoping we are selected for one situation only and that way we know which direction to take!

Ten pounds down?!! Girlfriend, what are you doin’? I need to loose ten pounds before two weeks is up or my personal trainer will be down on me!

God’s grace shines through pretty loudly on some days of raising children! And on other days, his love envelops you so strongly you can’t help but laugh, cry or all of the above! The relationship does change, husband and God. Just remember that God wants you to have a strong relationship with your husband, so always take breaks for the two of you and take time for yourself periodically!
