Didn’t hear back from S at all yesterday and I’ve already talked with her twice today! Can’t beat that. Even better, she told me that in addition to submitting us on the one year old little boy, she also submitted us on a 5 month old baby girl. Or, she is now in the process of doing that. The little girl has a cleft chin and S told us that a lot of people won’t be submitted on her b/c they won’t want to deal with that. That makes me sad, but also happy because it increases our chances of getting her!

Wooo-hooo indeed! This is excellent news to be submitted on two different children. Hey, what if you are chosen for BOTH of them? That would be such irony, after this horrible wait. Hey – you could tell the little girl how many people think a cleft chin is rather cool. Sandra Bullock, for example, has a slightly cleft chin. Aren’t we all just beautful in our own way? And what a small thing to have to “fix” anyway, should her parents decide to do that. I can’t imagine turning down a child for that reason, but thaena again – I guess I can see how some people just want perfection. But we define perfection differently!

I know exactly where you are coming from. While it saddens me to no end that Baby H was very well not wanted because she has Down Syndrome, I hope and pray no one ELSE wants her, either. Because we want her. We want her so badly. And we’re perfect for her, it’s just a matter of WHO ELSE wants her. Waiting is so hard.
